Well, the editor has done her work. Now, I must decide what suggestions to keep (most of them! Especially all the technical fixes – who knew there were so many capitalization rules to be used so loosely!), and what suggestions to ignore. (Sorry, I still like some personal chatty idiosyncracies, like, starting sentences with “So,” sometimes, and using sentence fragments, and lots of dashes – ok – I let most of those go! And sometimes I like my long, long sentences and double adjectives… )
So, looks like time to work on the “Final” final version! The intention is for the new book “Camp Follower – An Army Brat’s Story” to be available by November.
My holidays are over.
