2017 was a wonderful year for me – I finished my first book, and got it published. (Whew, so much said about that in so few words!) Anyway, I also found time in 2017 to take a few trips (Las Vegas, Virginia Beach, Tennessee, to name the tourist spots; Picton and Prince Edward County for the wine tour; Nova Scotia in the trailer). And throughout all my busy life, I read. Here’s a list of 10 books that I enjoyed in 2017. No particular order as I love everything and all were so different. I recommend each of them.
- Conclave by Robert Harris.
- Wars of the Roses (series of 4 books) by Conn Igulden
- New York by Kim Stanley Robinson
- The Fifth Gospel by Ian Caldwell
- All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai
- Miranda and Caliban by Jacqueline Carey
- Hagseed by Margaret Atwood
- Column of Fire by Ken Follett
- The Fifth Heart by Dan Simmons
- Last Year by Robert Charles Wilson
Great list and so happy for you to have had a prosperous year; cheers to 2018🍷.
I read The Handmaiden’s Tale by M. Atwood, Shake Hands with the Devil by Romeo Dillaire and Anne Frank’s Diary!
Have a Merry Christmas and be the change you want to be 🎄😍💃🏻

Thanks, I read Handmaid’s Tale years ago too and love Atwood’s sci-fi stuff – read her Oryx and Crake series! Anne Franke wow, it’s been a long time since I read that one, but I should again. And I haven’t yet read Dallaire’s, but again, I should.
